Designing with Impact: Lessons from the Wild

It was an honor to take part in San Diego Design Week 2025, sharing ideas and inspiration during Community Day (Sept 21) at the amazing Nissan Design Center. Our small exhibit, Lessons from the Wild, showcased examples of how nature’s wisdom can influence the future of design. Through a series of illustrated posters, Agota presented her biomimicry research and sketches - pairing species like beetles, diatoms, and desert plants with familiar innovations they’ve inspired.

Community Day was a day devoted to creativity, collaboration, and cultural connection across San Diego and Tijuana. We felt surrounded by a warm and curious community, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who stopped by - family, friends, colleagues, and so many new faces. Each conversation and moment of connection made the day special. 

We left inspired by the energy in the room and by the shared belief that life-centered design can help nurture a more resilient and regenerative world. Thank you for making it such a joyful experience—we look forward to joining San Diego Design Week again in 2026.
