ADRIAN: Designing Hollywood, Dressing America

ASU FIDM Museum Event in Los Angeles

In August, we visited ADRIAN: Designing Hollywood, Dressing America at the ASU (Agota’s Alma Mater) FIDM Museum in Los Angeles - a beautiful free exhibition celebrating the work and legacy of legendary Hollywood costume and fashion designer Gilbert Adrian. Featuring more than 50 rare garments and accessories, the exhibition offers a fascinating look at the designer whose work helped define the visual language of Hollywood's Golden Age and influenced American fashion far beyond the screen.

The exhibition was a wonderful reminder of how much design history is there to learn from. From the extraordinary silhouettes and craftsmanship to the connection between costume, film, and culture, there was so much to look at and appreciate. We are grateful to the ASU FIDM Museum for creating a space where designers, students, and the public can encounter this remarkable work firsthand.

ADRIAN: Designing Hollywood, Dressing America at the ASU FIDM Museum in Los Angeles is currently on display through December 12, 2026.

It is free and open to the public. (Closed November 26–27)
